7 Brew Is Now America's Fastest-Growing Brand
7 Brew, the drive-thru coffee chain founded in Rogers, topped Yelp's 2026 Fastest-Growing Brands report — first in the country, up from 23rd the year before. That is the headline, but it lands alongside two smaller stories that say the same thing in a quieter way: a long-derelict Fayetteville motel is being rebuilt as a boutique hotel, and a Kansas City breakfast chain liked its first Northwest Arkansas location enough to open a second.
1. The Overland Hotel Replaces Fayetteville's Motel 6
Anyone who has spent time in Fayetteville knows the Motel 6 on College Avenue, and knows it was not the city's finest asset. It is being redeveloped into a boutique property called the Overland Hotel.
The plans call for 85 home-style rooms ranging from about 250 to 700 square feet, plus:
- A pool, courtyard and grill area
- A small amphitheater
- Wellness center space
- A coffee and cocktail bar
That is a meaningful upgrade for a prominent stretch of College Avenue, and the reasoning behind it is not unique to Fayetteville. Hotels across the country are competing against short-term rentals, and the response has been to modernize — better rooms, more amenities, more reason to book a hotel over an Airbnb. Fayetteville is getting the local version of that shift, on a site that badly needed it.
2. The Big Biscuit Opens a Second Location in Rogers
The Big Biscuit, a Kansas City-based breakfast chain, took a chance on a Fayetteville location. It worked, and the company has now added a second in Rogers.
That pattern matters more than any single restaurant. Businesses come to NWA, find real demand, and expand rather than retreat. HomeGrown is another example of the same trajectory. The region is one of the fastest-growing areas in America, people are spending, and operators notice.
Rogers is the logical second stop — it is where a lot of the region's spending is concentrated right now.
3. 7 Brew Tops the Fastest-Growing List
The main story is 7 Brew. The drive-thru coffee brand started here and now sits at number one on Yelp's national fastest-growing-brand ranking, on the strength of a 244% year-over-year jump in consumer interest. For a company that began as a small NWA operation in 2017, that is a remarkable result.
What is genuinely interesting about 7 Brew is the operating model rather than the coffee. The throughput is the thing — the number of drinks a single stand can push through, the pace of the line, the consistency of the staff and the deliberately upbeat customer interaction. It is a well-run business, and the growth reflects that.
The company took a growth investment from Blackstone in 2024, which is fueling the national expansion. That is a normal step for a brand scaling at this rate.
7 Brew is not the only one. NWA has produced or grown a striking number of consumer brands: Onyx Coffee Lab, founded in Springdale and now headquartered in Rogers; Airship Coffee, roasting in Bentonville; and Slim Chickens, which opened its first store on College Avenue in Fayetteville and still has its head office there.
What This Means If You're Moving Here
The practical read for anyone considering a move is simple: there are a lot of businesses being built here, and a lot of jobs that need filling. If finding work is the thing making you hesitate about NWA, it is probably the wrong thing to worry about.
One caveat worth keeping: the job you land may not be the job you came for. Moving from a tech role into coffee, hospitality or retail is a common enough story here. Whether that is a good trade depends entirely on what you want out of the move.
Taken together — a rebuilt hotel, a chain doubling down, and a homegrown coffee company topping a national list — the three stories point the same direction. Businesses keep deciding this region is worth expanding into.
